Abstract

Culture is a strategic active of which a correct management contributes to obtain success in organizational results. The managers and their ways of direction play an important role. This thesis is focused in the analysis of the cultural factors of two departments that belong to the health public system of the Rosario city municipality. Both organizations are affected for by a changing context which includes political, social, economic and technological factors. The paradigm of the complex permitted to analyze and understand the way these departments operate characterize by their dialogical, contradictory and sometimes uncertain relations. The cases were studied by using qualitative methodology and techniques as direct observation, documentary information and several thoroughly interviews with the health crew. The question that was intended to answer is to find out the relationship between organizational culture and styles of management. The main issue consisted to establish how the cultural factors affect the management behavior and how the different styles of the players can affect and mold the culture in these organizations. The evidences obtained showed reciprocate influence between styles and cultures.
